Logos for cards

1 like 0 dislike

@Jay1148 made these last night to be used to replace wording for values on cards. All feedback is appreciated. As it currently stands, these are made completely as vectors so the colors, shapes, etc. can be changed easily.

Here is the meaning of each icon:

- Blue droplet == Mana cost
- Crosshairs == Attack / Strength
- Red cross == Health / Hit points
- Yellow arrow with cogwheel == Scrap cost
- Wrenches == Scrap value

I played around with image sizes. Obviously those icons won't be nearly this large in any of the screens/pages they are displayed.

Here is a small version that I think may be appropriate-ish size for displaying on the web, and maybe in some screens in the application:

Still looks pretty good, though the yellow arrow is a bit harder to see on the white background.

Here is realistically about the size they will be on the actual cards:

Now the yellow arrow is barely visible over white background. My thought is that we should use a darker color, maybe orange or green.

I think they look really good! Some feedback:

The detail on the water droplet looks kind of like deer antlers to me. Maybe there is a way to make it look more mechanical/rigid?

The gear should be larger on the gear-with-arrow.  Possibly the tip of the arrow should be larger also.

Both the plus sign and the crosshairs could be bigger so that they stand out more.

The wrenches look really awesome!

One thought that I had was that we could do a black and white test of the icons.  It may not be necessary in the game itself, but I think that a version without color could be useful.  I think one version where the icons are pure black and another version where the icons are pure white would be helpful. Pure white on the black background of the cards might look pretty cool!
